With Up to Snuff Grooming, rehab sessions focus on emotional safety first, then grooming progress, every pet moves at their own pace.

  • Struggle with nail trims, brushing, dryers, or restraint
  • Pets who growl, hiss, freeze, pull away, or panic
  • Seniors who in the past have had to be sedated for grooming and no longer have that option
  • Pets who just need extra time and understanding. 

How it works.

Each session is structured, calm, and confidence-based. We focus on:

  • Desensitization handling
  • Trust-building techniques
  • Positive reinforcement
  • Gentle Progression
  • Breaks when needed
  • Owner education

This program requires the owners involvement. You will receive simple at-home exercises after each session to support your pets progress and confidence between visits. This is a team effort- together, we create confident, calm grooming experiences.

A $25 deposit is required to reserve Rehab session appointments. Deposits are applied toward your session total and are non-refundable within 24 hours of the appointment.

Grooming Rehab and Retraining is not a guarantee or immediate grooming completion. Each pets progresses at their own pace based on comfort, history, and emotional readiness.

Some sessions may focus entirely on trust-building rather than grooming tasks. Safety, emotional well- being, and confidence always comes before cosmetic results.

Owner participation and at-home practice are required for long-term success.

Why this Program Exists

Grooming Rehab & Retraining was created from real experiences insides the grooming industry.

I have worked in salons that claimed to "take the worst cases" - but instead of offering patience , understanding, and education, I witness fear-based handling, rushed restraint, and emotional and physical harm. Pets labeled as "bad" were simply misunderstood.

I saw how easily grooming trauma is created - and how deeply it affects pets long after the appointment is over. 

At the same time, I chose a different path. I committed myself to continued education in canine and feline behavior, body language, stress signals, and confidence- based handling. I continue to study, learn, and grow so I can serve pets with respect not force.

 

This program exists because pets deserve better.
